Being a part of choir gives you many opportunities. Be a part of a team that meets every day. Yes, a team, because we make music together and depend on each other when we perform! We stand in front of audiences and learn to control the anxiety that is part of the event. We learn to read music and research has shown that we will score better on standardized tests than if we had not learned to read music. We make new friends outside our academic team. We have a class each day that is not stressful and enables us to appreciate different styles of music. We develop an enjoyable life long skill!
